Elysay

Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 31, 2026

1. Overview

This Privacy Policy explains how Elysay (“we”, “us”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use websites and apps on elysay.com and *.elysay.com (the “Services”), including the Elysay hub, Mathscapes, Listly, Auth, and future apps under the same platform.

By using the Services, you acknowledge this Policy. For how we operate the Services more generally, see our Terms of Service.

2. Information we collect

Depending on which apps you use, we may collect:

  • Account information — such as email address and authentication details when you sign in via Auth
  • Content you provide — such as shopping list items, locations, family/owner settings, or other data you enter into an app
  • Usage and technical data — such as IP address, browser type, device information, and approximate request logs needed to operate and secure the Services
  • Communications — such as messages you send us, or transactional emails we send (for example, owner invite emails in Listly)

3. How we use information

We use information to:

  • Provide, maintain, and improve the Services
  • Authenticate users and manage sessions
  • Enable sharing and collaboration features you choose to use
  • Send transactional messages related to your account or invites
  • Protect against abuse, fraud, and security threats
  • Comply with legal obligations

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your content to train third-party advertising models.

4. Cookies and similar technologies

We use cookies and similar storage necessary for the Services to function. For example, a theme preference cookie may be set on the shared `.elysay.com` domain so light/dark mode stays consistent across apps. Authentication and session cookies may be used to keep you signed in. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling necessary cookies may break sign-in or preferences.

5. Sharing and collaboration

Some apps let you share access with others. For example, Listly may provide share links that allow anyone with the link to view or edit a list, and may send invite emails to addresses you provide. Information shared through those features is visible to the recipients or link holders you choose. Choose share recipients carefully.

6. Realtime features

Certain apps may use realtime connections (such as WebSockets) to sync updates among collaborators. Connection metadata and channel identifiers needed to deliver those updates may be processed as part of providing the feature.

7. Service providers

We use trusted infrastructure providers (for example, hosting, email delivery, and databases) to operate the Services. They process data only as needed to provide their services to us and under appropriate safeguards.

8. Retention

We retain information for as long as needed to provide the Services, fulfill the purposes described in this Policy, resolve disputes, and meet legal requirements. When you delete an account or content, we remove or de-identify associated data within a reasonable period, except where retention is required by law or for legitimate security and operational needs.

9. Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export personal information, or to object to certain processing. To make a request, contact us at the email below. We may need to verify your identity before responding.

10. Children

The Services are not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.

Mathscapes worksheets may be used by parents, guardians, or educators with students; account holders are responsible for how they use those materials with minors.

11. International transfers

We may process and store information in the United States or other countries where we or our providers operate. Those locations may have different data-protection laws than your home country.

12. Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the Services after an update means you acknowledge the revised Policy.
